Marquis Properties Realty just listed and sold a Hidden Tropical Oasis at 1325 South Street in only five days – well under the local average for days on the Key West real estate market. The historic home has three bedrooms plus a den, a vaulted ceiling, gourmet kitchen and wonderful outdoor spaces with a fabulous pool.
When we listed this property we felt it was priced properly but we never imagined it would sell so quickly. We are having a more robust summer with sales than usual so this definitely helped!
The home was listed on last Monday; we had eight showings within the first four days and had a signed contract within five days of listing the property.
We attribute the success of getting this property under contract so quickly to pricing the property appropriately to the current market conditions.
According to the Key West Association of Realtors, the average days on the market (DOM) for single family homes in 2011 is 146 days – down from 170 a year ago.
